Hillcrest Hoedown

It's not everyday that one of the trendiest parts of San Diego gets transformed into a hoedown, petting zoo and all. Those twenty-one and over folks can enjoy riding a mechanical bull and trying their luck at the casino tables, while the kids head over to the arts & crafts area. Make sure to wear your best pair of cowboy boots for the costume contest.

La Jolla Art and Wine Festival
Date: Oct.12-13
Time: 10:00am-6:00pm
Location: Lower Girard Avenue

The two-day event features works from over 150 artists. The event is free of charge, but donations are welcomed. There will be a wine and beer garden, live music, and food vendors.
